In the heart of Austin lies one of the tallest Capitols in the United States. Don’t get intimidated by its magnitude, with either self-guided or docent-led tours, you can rest assured it's an awesome place to take your family for an afternoon adventure.
ATX Kids Club has been there many times and every time we learn something new. Here are some of the things you can do with your kids:
The Bob Bullock museum is offering an amazing exhibition granted to give you a ride to the past . Pong to Pokémon brings us playable consoles from the Atari to recent game apps. Our kids loved to find Minecraft but were strangely enthralled by Sonic the Hedgehog. They were also amused by the different controls that each console offered. If you keep circling you will get to a room that was turned into an arcade. They heard Angry birds and Guitar hero in the background but kept trying to win the Space Invaders. Endless tries without spending a dime!
If you don’t want to miss the opportunity to revive your youth, head to the museum before march 18th or check our next adventures!
Did someone say bowling? We sure did!!! And what an amazing turn-out we had for our first 2018 family event.
Parents, kids, and other friends enjoyed 3 hours of bowling at Westgate Lanes on Monday, January 15th.
With more than just bowling, there is an entire game room to entertain the kids, affordable food and beverage options for the whole family, and such a great escape from the upcoming Winter Storm.
With the option to use bumpers (or not), we were able to have adults and kids competing for high score.
We found this to be such an awesome adventure that we have already planned our next visit. You should also consider making a visit, this is a great physical activity to do with your family on a cold or rainy day.
Join us next time on March 12th!
One of our favorite caves to visit in Central Texas, is Cave Without A Name!
Located outside of Boerne, TX, this cave is filled with Stalactites, Stalagmites, Soda Straws, Cave Drapery, lots of Cave Bacon, and more fun structures that use our imagination to see. We even see bats sleeping inside the cave.
Covered and uncovered picnic tables for lunch and a few nature trails to investigate. Overall, an A-plus place to visit!
We like to visit this cave at least once/year and should be on your visit list!
