ATX KIDS CLUB was founded with a simple but powerful belief: every child deserves the chance to explore, learn, and discover the world around them. Too often, kids in Central Texas are limited by cost, access, or lack of opportunity. We break down those barriers by taking children beyond the classroom and into their community.
Since our start, we’ve provided safe and enriching camps where kids gain independence, confidence, and curiosity. Riding public transportation, discovering cultural landmarks, visiting local parks, and engaging in hands-on activities—our participants don’t just see Austin and the Central Texas region, they experience it.
At the heart of our work is a commitment to equity and inclusion. Through our sliding scale scholarships and transit education model, we ensure that children from all backgrounds can join in. Along the way, we’re raising the next generation of confident, curious, and connected community members.

MISSION
To empower youth through educational adventures that promote independence, confidence, and a deeper connection to their community—one field trip at a time. VISION
To create a community in which children grow up to become confident and compassionate adults aware of their individual strength, beauty, and connection to the natural world. VALUES
MOVEMENT: We believe that moving your body is critical for physical and mental well-being. Physical movement helps release stress, process emotions, build endurance, and strengthen the connection we have with our bodies. CURIOSITY: We believe in the power of constantly questioning, which propels us to explore, discover, and expand our understanding of the world around us. Curiosity instills the courage to confidently venture into the unknown and embrace challenges as opportunities to learn about ourselves. ADVENTURE: We believe that real growth happens beyond what is easy or comfortable. Facing new situations and improvising our way through them with others helps us confront our fears, rediscover ourselves, and forge lifelong bonds with others. |
IMPACT
ATX KIDS CLUB has provided educational adventures to over 2000 children in the Central Texas Region from over 110 different zip codes while maintaining an 8:1 ratio. Over 90% of Educational Adventures offered through ATX KIDS CLUB uses CapMetro as its main form of transportation.

ATX KIDS CLUB is an Austin-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit offering adventure-based field trips for children ages 4–13. In partnership with CapMetro, we explore the city in small groups, teaching kids how to use public transportation, work as a team, and gain confidence and independence. By traveling via public bus and ATX Vans, campers develop the practical knowledge to navigate the city and discover the many wonders Austin and its surrounding areas have to offer.
