TEEN LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

Leadership happens through experience.

Teens ages 13–17 join ATX KIDS CLUB adventures alongside our Field Trip Leaders,
​helping mentor younger campers while developing leadership skills through real-world experience.

LEAD
Practice communication, responsibility, problem-solving, and decision-making alongside experienced Field Trip Leaders.

MENTOR
Build relationships with younger campers and help create a positive, welcoming experience throughout the day.

NAVIGATE
Navigate Austin and Central Texas, experience new places, and develop a deeper understanding of the community.

VOLUNTEER THIS SCHOOL YEAR

Teen Leadership doesn't have to wait until summer.
Teens ages 13-17 can volunteer with ATX KIDS CLUB during
select School Holiday Adventures throughout the year.

Applications for Summer 2027 open February 1, 2027.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
​Teens who are:

• Ages 13–17
• Positive, responsible, and enthusiastic
• Comfortable working with younger campers
• Ready for active days of adventure
• Flexible and able to handle the unexpected
• Willing to learn, take direction, and be part of a team

WHAT TO EXPECT

• Commit to at least two weeks of Summer Camp
• Arrive on time and ready for the day
• Engage and interact with younger campers
• Help guide campers through field trips and activities
• Model positive, respectful behavior
• Follow the guidance of ATX KIDS CLUB Field Trip Leaders
• Stay present and engaged, with limited cell phone use

WHAT YOU'LL GAIN

• Hands-on leadership experience
• Volunteer service hours

• Mentorship from ATX KIDS CLUB Field Trip Leaders
• Opportunities to build communication and problem-solving skills

• Submit a letter of recommendation to [email protected]
• Be available for a mandatory group interview and volunteer training
• Commit to at least two weeks of Summer Camp
