What is ATX KIDS CLUB?ATX KIDS CLUB turns days off from school into unforgettable adventures. Through camps, school-break programs, and Parents’ Night Out events, youth explore Austin on exciting field trips, discover new interests, build friendships, and connect with their community.
We believe every child deserves access to enriching camp experiences. That’s why we work to keep our programs affordable and accessible to families across Austin through our sliding scale program. In 90% of our programs, campers use public transportation to reach their field-trip destinations—building independence, learning how to navigate their city, and discovering everything Austin has to offer. |
That’s the program’s goal: getting kids to have fun on public transit so they’ll grow up using it. The nonprofit’s summer camp, which takes kids ages 4 to 12 on field trip “adventures” around the city, uses Cap Metro buses as its main form of transportation. Read full KUT article
