"ATX KIDS CLUB has been our children's favorite summer camp! Not only are they well staffed and have a great program, they also have been very kind and patient with our son who has ADHD and autism. I'm so grateful for this amazing camp!" - ATX KC Parent

ATX KIDS CLUB was created from a simple but powerful realization that many kids in Southeast Austin, where our founder Tammy Miller was a teacher, rarely had the chance to explore beyond their own neighborhoods. Field trips became the highlight of her classroom and she saw how kids benefited from discovering new places. That experience, combined with her love for education, travel, and youth development, inspired the launch of ATX KIDS CLUB in 2014.
Our programs bring kids together for field trip adventures, and while the destination matters, the real magic lives in everything in between check-in at 8:30am and check-out at 5:30pm. Adventure looks like sitting next to a new friend on the bus, walking through downtown Austin for the very first time, or discovering confidence in a new activity like rollerskating. Our passion goes far beyond where we go—it’s about the full experience of camp: the connections formed, the challenges navigated, and the growth that happens along the way. We are honored to walk alongside our campers through both their highs and their lows, helping them feel supported, seen, and empowered every step of the journey. |
STORIES ABOUT ATX KIDS CLUB
"That’s the program’s goal: getting kids to have fun on public transit so they’ll grow up using it. The nonprofit’s summer camp, which takes kids ages 4 to 12 on field trip “adventures” around the city, uses Cap Metro buses as its main form of transportation."
