Tammy Miller
Founder/Executive Director
Tammy moved to Austin in 2008, trading cold Northeast winters for the vibrant energy of Central Texas. With a degree in Elementary Education from Cabrini College and years of teaching experience in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Southeast Austin, she quickly discovered her true passion: creating meaningful learning experiences beyond the classroom. Inspired by the lasting impact of her own childhood field trips, Tammy founded ATX KIDS CLUB to give every child the opportunity to explore and fall in love with Austin. Through hands-on adventures and a strong partnership with CapMetro, Tammy has built a program that empowers youth to navigate their city with confidence, curiosity, and joy. She is a passionate advocate for youth education and community engagement, with over 11 years of experience in nonprofit leadership and program development and has created enriching, accessible experiences for children, particularly through programs that emphasize independence, exploration, and civic awareness. Under her leadership, the organization has grown to serve hundreds of youth annually, partnering with schools, transit agencies, and local cultural institutions to promote real-world learning and equity in access. Tammy’s work is rooted in the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to discover their community and their potential.
