UPCOMING EVENTS
URBAN QUEST
Join us for an immersive event that combines adventure, public transportation, and community spirit. This fundraising initiative is designed to engage participants of all ages in a fun and dynamic way while raising crucial funds for our financial aid program. Our goal is to make our diverse array of youth programming—summer camps, after-school activities, and school-holiday camps—accessible to every child, regardless of their financial situation.
Urban Quest invites teams of up to 6 adventurers to embark on a city-wide scavenger hunt filled with riddles, clues, and a dash of Austin charm. Each team will receive a special packet containing destinations across iconic spots in downtown, possibly including notable landmarks like The Stevie Ray Vaughan Statue, Willie Nelson Statue, UT Turtle Pond, and Mueller Airport Tower and more.
The day will start at Waterloo Greenway, where participants can enjoy breakfast tacos, fresh orange juice, and coffee. We will also be hosting a post-event social hour with food, drinks, games, and a raffle.
Exploring your own city as an adult fosters a deeper connection to the community and sense of belonging. We have found that many Austin residents have not explored their own city or ridden on a public transit system. Learning how to navigate public transit can be intimidating, and this event will be a low pressure, stress free environment for learning the CapMetro System. Our Urban Quest will allow them to become a tourist of their own city, while exploring via CapMetro.
Date: November 2, 2024 (raindate: November 3, 2024)
Location: Waterloo Greenway (start and end point)
Cost $475/team* (up to 6 members). This amount covers a scholarship for a child to attend camp for a week.
Join us as we explore ATX via CapMetro on an Urban Quest.
Each team member will receive
ATX Adventurer T-shirt
CAPMETRO Transit pass
Breakfast tacos, OJ, coffee
Invite to our after-event
Raffle ticket for our big item prize
A packet with your set destinations for the CAPMETRO Urban Quest.

*The cost to participate directly contributes to our sliding scale fund that provides scholarships for campers. Our urban-based adventures increase kid's sense of independence, resiliency, problem solving skills, and offer an overall awesome experience exploring Austin.
