Volunteer Opportunities
Adult & ​​Teen

We are looking for ADULT VOLUNTEERS to assist on our adventures. Background Checks are required. Volunteers may choose to spend the day with us or we can be flexible with hours depending on the adventure of the day.

Volunteer duties on our adventures include:

• Assisting Field Trip Leaders as needed on adventures (bathroom breaks, tying shoes, holding campers hands when crossing streets, assisting with lunch time, refocusing campers when necessary).
• Being a 2nd set of eyes on our campers at all times.
• Making connections with campers and providing positive outlooks and experiences to share.
• Interacting with campers and staff in a professional manner.

Applications are closed at this time for teens to join our Teen Leadership Program, ages 13-17, to assist our Field Trip Leaders on our adventures with 4-8 year olds. If you are interested, there is a 2 week minimum commitment.  Application and Interview are required.

Employee Opportunities

​​Field Trip Leaders meet at one of our drop off/pick up parks and travel around Austin using Capital Metro (public bus) with a group of 6-8 children (ages 4-8 or 8-12). Schedule of daily destinations provided. We are always accepting new applications. Click here for additional information.

Join Our Team as a Field Trip Leader

Our Goal
With a focus on Urban Literacy and Local Culture, ATX Kids Club camps enable campers to experience the rich diversity of Austin and the surrounding Texas Hill Country. Campers gain self-confidence by learning how to explore their own city through urban adventures with our community partner, CapMetro. Through these adventures, ATX Kids Club shows campers that Austin is truly accessible to all. Kids will also explore the history and beauty of the Texas Hill Country with guided van excursions. Through these experiences, ATX Kids Club provides campers with a sense of self, sense of place, and sense of adventure. Our park locations include: Garrison Park, Ramsey Park, Brentwood Park, Pease Park, Mueller Park and Walnut Creek Park. 

Required

• 20 years or older
• CPR/First Aid/Water Safety Certified (can be provided)
• College Credits
• Experience working with children
• Ability to professionally communicate with Parents
• Positive attitude and energy
• Working Cell Phone with portable charger (can be provided)

Preferred

• ​Experience riding on CapMetro
• Bilingual (Spanish/English)
